Photographic Conversations - the beginnings.
Currently I have nearly 40,000 on my phone, which seems bonkers doesn’t it. A few years ago I was invited to contribute to a project that allowed me to think about my daily practice. More of this in due course, but gave me the space to really think about what I do every day. What I have realised is that I take a really long time to make work. Everything has to sit for a while and then every so often an opportunity comes along that actually celebrates the facets of slow making.
As part of my research for this project I started selecting photographs on my phone with details or lines that although individually seem completely unrelated, but when put together begin to form a conversation between line, form and place.
